About the job

About who needs care: My dad has mixed dementia, early stages so is still able to do some things himself (still drives to places he's familiar with, still takes care of himself etc.) My mom is his caregiver and the only person living with him. She has taken on almost all of the household duties, including finances, insurance, repairs, etc. and is struggling to stay on top of all of it. We are looking for someone who can come a few days a week to help out with things like cleaning, meal prep, monitoring my dad if my mom needs to leave, etc. About the care needs: Specialization/experience with older people with dementia or memory challenges, please. A good personality fit would be someone who is patient, calm, can engage in a clear and friendly way. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
