About who needs care: She is pretty mobile and believes herself to be mostly independent. She has been diagnosed with dementia and can sometimes be unsafe in her confusion. She used to take joy in knitting and reading. now she keeps busy puttering around the house or napping. She can not cook or drive. She is a smoker in her home and does have 1 dog and 3cats. She prefers to stay in her home. About the care needs: Looking for someone who is patient coming into her home as she is having trouble accepting she needs the help. Looking for someone who will be positive when encouraging meals or basic hygiene. Looking for someone who has compassion and respect for elderly. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
