About who needs care: My aunt has a broken arm and needs help until it heals. She is currently in a sling and has a half walker. This makes it difficult to cook, carry dishes and do basic household chores. She also has dizzy spells when sitting from a prone position or standing after sitting. So she can't move quickly. My brother had been staying with her but he has to go out of town for work and the extended family is concerned she may fall and reinjure her arm if she tries to do too much. She generally gets up around 10:00 a.m. and doesn't go to bed until midnight or after. About the care needs: She does well with calm precise people. Some of our family is high energy and it wears her out. She also likes to talk, so someone willing to listen with patience and a no nonsense attitude to remind her of things she should do. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
