About the job

About who needs care: - Likes to clean and loves to do laundry; enjoys puttering. - Does not cook but can heat up a meal, pull together a snack or light breakfast. - Likes to sit outside on nice day. - Currently myself and siblings are helping with all care - including bathing (she needs assistance), preparing meals, groceries, etc. - She is not comfortable staying alone at night (more concerned about safety/others), however she does have pockets of times during the day alone (which she likes). - Wears a safety-alert necklace when alone. - Has some confusion when trying to recall a detail, but good cognitively for 86. - She is very thin and frail - does eat well and can get around (slowly) without a walker or cane,, Will use them when she goes out with us. About the care needs: - Friendly and compassionate - Enjoys conversations - Bathing and personal care - Meal prep * My mom provided in-home care many years ago (not an RN, but certified). :-) Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
