About who needs care: Conditions: hearing loss (hearing aides) Dementia Hobbies: Enjoys math, talking about travel, current affairs Ideal day: Wake up, read the Washington Post newspaper, get dressed, read short devotioal on her kitchen table, eat breakfast, go for a walk outside or run errands or go to appointments - any type of outdoor activity (as long as t's warm), dinner including vanilla ice cream, play a board game, watch a bit of CNN, get ready for bed. About the care needs: Personality: outgoing Skills: Experience with dementia patients (able to handle some amount of paranoia, delusions) Very conscious of cleanliness - in housekeeping and food prep Speak English well and clearly Able to manage medications Able to put on/take off compression stockings Careful driver Good cook of simple, nutritious foods Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
