I'm looking for companion care for my parents in their 80s. We would prefer someone who can handle light housekeeping. Additional responsibilities include some meal preparation. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction for mom. We'll need you to handle groceries or errands when appropriate. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and comfortable with pets. There are no dogs in the household, but my sister and I both visit often with our dogs. Both parents are very hesitant to have someone in the home, but acknowledge that the other person needs it. Neither has dementia, but both show signs of increasing memory loss and both have mobility issues (mom uses a walker 24/7, and dad has fallen almost weekly over the past few months).
