About the job

About who needs care: My Dadis an independent 82-year-old Navy veteran with a sharp mind and is able to ambulate with a walker or cane. He will be in a short term rehab facility getting stronger after colon resection surgery. He will need someone to be there with him when family is not available to ensure he is well groomed (shaved, hair and nails cut, moisturized, etc.), mentally strong and encouraged to do the physical and occupational therapy needed to be able to live independently again. Once he is back home, he needs someone to help him prepare nutritious meals he likes, be a companion from time to time and maybe run errands with him or transport him to errands. About the care needs: A cheerful, patient and compassionate woman would be best. Able to take blood pressure and glucose readings. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
