About the job

My mother is very laid back, mild manner, woman of God. She doesn't really require much besides helping her walk to and from the car to her appointments. She is on oxygen full time, she will need support, with carrying her tanks to and from the car. Her schedule is below: Every Tuesday and Thursday- she goes to physical therapy in La Plata, MD at 1:00 p.m. . she will need someone to drive her and help her get into the building. She is able to walk, she uses a wheelchair to support her walking, if she feels out of breath she will require pushing in the wheel chair. This time frame is not set in stone, as it fluctuates based on how she is feeling or if she has the energy to go - so this schedule will be modified weekly and we will communicate that. There are other appointments - that she goes to, and we can talk about them during an interview and if your schedule permits. An ideal day would like like: (1) Contacting my mother to make sure she is ready to go to her appointment. (2) Meet her at home and ensure she has all she needs to go, bags, equipment, oxygen (3) drive her to appointment and help her go into appointment (4) wait for her appointment to be done (5) driver her back and ensure she is settled at home Her interest are: - Watching church - Listening to old hits - Scrolling on Facebook - Talking on the phone - Eating We are looking for someone who is personable and cares about the person they are taking care of. Easy going, can have good conversation, mature and laid back. Effectively communicates - via text, phone call or email. To get to our home you will need a personal car. We have permit parking or public parking along the street.
