About the job

About who needs care: Elderly women in her 80s with a dementia diagnosis, but still cognitively doing well. Current being discharged from hospital and needs in home care for personal grooming, assistance transferring, etc while she regains strength with PT/OT. About the care needs: We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with dementia patients however she is rather cognitive still. She is currently weak and has difficulty walking and will need assistance with bathing, grooming, and basic PCA work. She lives with her husband who uses a walker as well, but is independent at the moment. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
