About the job

About who needs care: My mother lives alone in a small home. She is unsteady on her feet, but otherwise quite physically healthy. She suffers from depression and often doesn't get out of bed without a good reason. I want to find her someone who can clean for her, do her laundry (which is in the basement and difficult for her) and ideally some companionship. About the care needs: My mom is lovely and sweet to most people but can be quite judgmental at times. Personality should be easy going and not easily offended. Her biggest love is her garden and gardening, which she can't do much of anymore. I don't expect the caregiver to do gardening, necessarily, but an interest in flowers would be well-received. Other hobbies are art and antiques. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
