About who needs care: We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Health Aide to provide essential in-home support for an elderly couple: an 83-year-old woman with dementia and an 84-year-old man managing atrial fibrillation (A-Fib) and a history of prostate cancer. The aide will assist with daily living activities, household management, meal preparation, shopping, and provide companionship to ensure the couple's safety, comfort, and well-being. About the care needs: Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or in a similar caregiving role preferred. Ability to understand and follow instructions from healthcare providers and family members. Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is an asset. Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy for seniors with cognitive and physical health challenges. Physical ability to assist with mobility, transfers, and light housekeeping tasks. Valid drivers license and ability to operate a motor vehicle for errands (if required). Must pass background checks and provide references. Looking for someone outgoing who is familiar with Christianity, as both parents are retired pastors. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
