About the job

My 86-year-old mother lives in an assisted living facility in Brookline. She has Alzheimer's disease, but has a pretty good memory, enjoys spending time with people, and is still very active and gets out with friends and family regularly. Her biggest challenges are word retrieval and navigating technology. She used to be able to use email, text messages, and browse online, but now those things are nearly impossible for her. We are looking for someone patient and trustworthy, with a solid knowledge of Apple products, who can help a few hours a week with tasks like: checking and replying to email, voicemail, or text messages, reviewing messages in her patient portal, helping to get online for virtual appointments, and scheduling upcoming appointments. She may also need occasional help with errands as well since she doesn't drive.
