About the job

Seeking companion care in South Amherst for my mother in her 90s, who has mild dementia. She is a former school teacher and needs stimulation. Medication management is required, and an active Mass CNA or HHA certificate. Some light tidying up is involved. Additional responsibilities include meal preparation. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction. We'll need you to handle occasional errands or trips to the local library with mom, when appropriate. We need coverage M-W-F from June 27 through August 15th for about 4-5 hours, usually 9am-2 p.m. or 1pm-6 p.m. or similar hours. We will pay weekly and require you to fill out an invoice to us, reporting hours, for our home care insurance reimbursement.
