About the job

About who needs care: This would be care/assistance for both parents. Mother had a stroke and needs light physical assistance (primarily getting out of bed in the mornings, getting dressed). Father had a fall which caused a brain injury and is still recovering from that. He has some memory and speech issues, but is as willing as he can be to help around the house (cooking, cleaning, etc.). About the care needs: Prefer a self-starting person, someone who can motivate mother to move more, and to assist father without doing things for him, just at a safe distance. They are both retired bus drivers and used to talk alot, but since their medical issues, they need to be prompted to speak and hold a conversation. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
