I'm looking for hands-on care for my mother in her 90s. We would prefer someone who can handle light housekeeping (eg, clean bathroom, make bed, laundry, wash dishes). Personal care required, including feeding assistance, brushing hair, toileting and bathing in bed or sitting. Mom can stand and take a few steps but needs assistance with transfers from bed to wheelchair to toilet. Mom is on home oxygen and has increasing dementia. Mom doesn't eat much but will need encouragement to drink. She loves fruit, coffee, donuts and soup. Meal prep is minimal, mainly warming up food and helping her eat as needed since she has impaired vision. Mom sleeps most of the day, listen to TV and likes to sit out on her deck for 15 minutes daily. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and comfortable with an adorable 15-pound Havanese dog.
