About the job

About who needs care: Conditions: Pulmonary fibrosis late stages, heart enlarged and leaking valves due to the lung condition, and fluid retention in legs, ankles and feet. Interest: Flowers, bird feeding and watching, playing cards, and watching classic TV. Schedule: Early: eat, take meds, visitation exercise if able and TV. Daytime: Outside leisure when weather permits and she is able or TV, cards, puzzles, midday meal, and visitation. Also physical therapy, bathing, and possible nap as needed. Evening: Meal, TV, prepare for bed and sleep. About the care needs: Caregiver must have patience and able to show kindness even when patient is frustrated . It would be good if they have interest in nature specifically feeding birds and gardening to engage in conversations of interest, and interested in playing cards or games would be helpful. Specialized Care is not known at this time as she is currently in rehab and this will depend on how strong she gets before she comes home. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
