About the job

About who needs care: 92-year-old disabled veteran seeking additional caregiving for a few hours Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday mornings. Daily tasks include cooking breakfast Sun-Tues and preparing an easy evening meal for him to reheat on Sunday. He is sharp as a tack and enjoys conversation, music, playing guitar, books, and movies. He needs some assistance with walking when not using his walker. He will occasionally need help going to and from appointments, but his afternoon caregiver usually covers that stuff. Caregiver must be trustworthy, reliable, friendly, and ok with old country western music. :) About the care needs: Would prefer someone with caregiving experience, references, and a willing ear for old cowboy stories. Must be reliable, trustworthy, drug-free, considerate, friendly, and a decent breakfast food cook. A bonus if their hobbies align with his: Playing guitar, listening to music, having "Alexa" read the bible, watching and discussing movies, and so much more. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
