No leaving early or coming late, or I have to pick up my child, etc. No sitting down with a phone on sofa watching TV. This is work time. Be available for the patient. There will be things to be done in the home. Respectful, positive, professional, knowledgeable on basic safety issues for the home and on medical issues (more info to the person chosen), CPR, English speaking, sense of humor. About the care needs: Sense of humor with respect. If a Christian, even better. Able to listen and follow directions well. Willing to learn to do things the way the patient needs them to be done, not inflexible. Infection control is paramount in the home. Able to keep an intelligent conversation and be trustworthy on patient care information. Yes, there is recovery of recent surgery. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
