About the job

About who needs care: Mom is at Encompass right now and she has Dementia but is not too bad , has trouble moving around from broken sacrum and arthritis, my Dad is getting confused now and having trouble seeing as his eye that he had surgery on years ago doesnt work very well, so he has trouble using the phone and figuring out the tv and gets confused ( early alzheimers ) and trouble using the microwave for dinners that are sent to him from social services. About the care needs: Someone very kind, gentle and not demanding , my dad currently needs someone who can help make him something to eat, turn on the tv, show him how to use his cell phone, possible take him somewhere to get a better cell phone , they both have Dr Keifer who comes to the house. Someone who likes cats as they have two and willing to clean the litter as well as do housework and clean . My mom once she is back home will need assistance with that as well. They arent eating that well and can not figure out the microwave to heat up the meals . I am in canada , I am their Health Surrogates and have POA for both of them and I am not able to travel there right now as I have been recovering from Chemo , Radiation treatments ( which they do not know about ) otherwise I would be there. Our current caregiver was amazing and now had to take a full time position in Key West so she isnt available much anymore and I am very concerned. I take care of all their finances as well. Help Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
