About the job

About who needs care: My dad has several medical issues but Parkinsons disease with a little dementia is his main issue. Also physically he can barely get around. He is mobile , just has a really bad back and has trouble standing sometimes. Hes super sweet ! Loves racing , Gunsmoke, and most any western, loves his 2 frenchies and his family very much. He basically just watches tv all day . Sometimes he will read or want to walk down the sidewalk. He plays with the dogs a lot. And he does like to talk but has a hard time comprehending the first time you say something. You usually have to repeat it. He gets up at 8 and takes his first meds of the day, gets dressed and eats breakfast. He cannot make his own meals . He will try, but I would rather him not. He CAN do almost anything. He pushes through. Hes strong ! After breakfast he likes to sit in his recliner and watch gunsmoke and nap until lunchtime. Next meds at 1:00. After lunch he likes to piddle, walk, exercise, play with dogs. He gets more energy the later in the day it gets. Third meds at 3:00. 4th meds at 6:00. Eat dinner between 6-8 then bedtime. He cleans himself up every morning by himself and showers every other day by himself but really could use a little assistance. Last meds at bedtime. About the care needs: Just be nice , patient and be able to make meals and assist him with getting cleaned up and dressed if he needs it. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
