Hi, my father (77) has high-functioning dementia and is diabetic. He's easy going, has a good sense of humor, but needs some assistance from time to time at his memory care facility. Our family have been his caregivers, but we need additional support 2-3 days a week for the burn out. Willing to do a trial to see if right fit, then possibly extend hours. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction, help coordinating meals at the facility or having meals delivered to him from time to time, occasional help with errands or doctors appointments. Must have a positive, patient, gentle demeanor that uplifts, strong communication, observation and foresight. Preferences for experience with dementia/diabetics or willing to learn, non-smoker, have your own transportation.
