About the job

Seeking hands-on care for my husband in his 80s. Experience with feeding thru a Peg Tube a plus. He is 100% VA disabled, stroke survivor with left side paralysis/weakness and in motorized wheelchair. Experience a must with assisting to stand/walk, 180lbs. Duties require: Bed Bath, Skin Care, Grooming, Tube Feeding, Prep soft foods, Range of Motion exercises, Companionship. He can walk short distances. He has Vascular Dementia requiring a caregiver with patience as he needs constant reminders. Willing to play cognitive easy games (cards, iPad app games). Cleaning his areas, bedroom, bathroom. Wash/Dry/Fold his towels/clothes. Accompany us to dr appts. Non-smoker, comfortable with cats. M-F 9a-5p, 40 hrs/wk. VA background check required and paid through VA program. May consider split hrs btw 2 people.
