Need experienced care provider for my 88-year-old mother in a nursing home recovering from stroke. She has been there for 8+ months, and I currently spend 6+ hours a day with her. I want to hire an aide to cover for part of my time so I can get a break. She also has dementia but is aware. Requirements - help staying active (currently right side & speech effected by stroke - so she cannot ask for help herself or walk), social interaction, companionship, assist with nursing home activities, physical therapy, speech therapy, playing cards, listening to music, spending time outside, help eating/drinking (needs to stay hydrated), *ensure staff is taking care basic needs(dressing her, providing water, timely medication, bathing, wound care, etc.). The nurses/aides there are understaffed and can't provide the 1-on-1 time I want for my mom.
