I'm looking for a kind, patient, experienced, and proactive caregiver to support my husband, Jim, who is living with dementia and is 81 years young. Even though Jim's capabilities have changed, he still loves connecting with us and feeling like he is a part of our family routines. Our caregiving needs are: Provide support with daily activities (ADLs), including showering, dressing, toileting and grooming. Encourage and accompany Jim in physical activity. 'Partner' with him in light household activities (E. g. feeding our pets, going to the store). Accompany him to appointments. Offer companionship, conversation, and a steady daily rhythm while using downtime proactively for housekeeping related to his care. This is a personal and important role in our lives. If this sounds like the kind of connection you'd value too, I'd love to talk.
