About the job

We need hands-on care to take care of my husband in South Windsor for mornings Monday thru Friday. One of your responsibilities will be bathing, changing him, and getting him dressed. He is 79 years old and in a hospital bed in the living room. His bed linens need to be changed and he uses Depends for incontinence. He can sit up by himself but has no use of his legs. He uses a slide board to get in and out of bed. He uses a wheelchair on occasion. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and comfortable with a 35 lb dog who is very friendly. We only need 2 hours per day, but do need Monday thru Friday. He loves to chat with his caregivers and has a wide variety of interests.
