About who needs care: Early onset Alzheimers/aphasia; trouble finding words though knows family and friends and understands how much she has lost; very cautious mobility because of previous falls; dozes a lot. Occasional trouble bathing; forks and spoons are often difficult so she tends to use her fingers to eat. About the care needs: A sense of humor is essential; general knowledge of Alzheimer's care is important; also patience and a positive outlook. Our house is all on one level with easy access outside for short walks when accompanied by family member or caregiver. We have a friendly Wire-haired pointing Griffon 67lb dog.
