About the job

About who needs care: My mother, Carol, has just been diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer and will soon be treated with chemotherapy and immunotherapy. She is a wonderful person. We're not sure what to expect yet, but she may need help with meal prep, taking medication, bathing, and cleaning (everyday living activities). She enjoys music, gaming, reading, watching tv/movies, and chatting. At this time, we're looking to give her holistic care such, such as having healthy meals prepared, some light walking, social support/stress management, pain/nausia medication where needed, medication organization, etc. About the care needs: Our ideal caregiver is highly organized, detail oriented, and believes in holistic care. Ideally, they are okay helping her bathe if it becomes necessary. Ideally, again, they will like to be social and okay with things like brushing her hair, has knowledge of preparing healthy meals, and is encouraging. My Mom likes to chat and be social with people. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
