About the job

About who needs care: High falling risk. Has high blood pressure, chronic kidney disease. Does not sleep well. Needs help with meals, dressing, laundry, ensuring meds are taken, etc. About the care needs: Should have a thick skin as he can be somewhat demanding and terse in communications. That comes, in part, from the fact that he his often tired, and he also doesn't feel like he needs help, so doesn't appreciate the help that he receives as much as he should. Caregiver should be able to keep busy as he doesn't want pay for someone to sit around. His family though recognizes that part of the job is simply to have. a presence from a safety perspective. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
