About who needs care: stays home 24/7 except for dr. appointments or medical needs. sleeps most of the day, more "active" at nights, looking for companionship after day time nurses leave at 6 p.m. wife passed away a little over a year ago and is mentally declining without companionship. just wants to know someone is in the house with him so he is not alone. About the care needs: Robert Clark or "Pepper" as he goes by is an 86-year-old man who doesn't leave the house much due to chronic back pain but still wants quality of life within the home. He walks freely throughout the house with his walker but is in pretty severe pain so we try to help him with things as much as possible, (bring him his meds, make his meals, tidy the house, get groceries, etc.) even through he is extremely stubborn and doesn't think he needs all the help. His wife passed away a little over a year ago after being bedridden for a few years, this change has thrown him into a spiral and he has become very reclusive and depressed. Pepper has been diagnosed with dementia and has a hard time remembering the day to day, (what he had for breakfast, what pills he has/hasn't taken, when he showered last, etc.) but is very sharp and witty, he will keep you on your toes! Pepper tends to sleep most of the morning and afternoon and is typically the most alert & active in the evening. He currently has two caregivers that come Monday-Saturday 8am-6pm, but he is struggling with the nights after we leave. Services needed include:
Companionship
Meal Preparation
Medication Prompting
