Seeking a mature, friendly companion for my 92-year-old mom. She uses a walker and a wheelchair, has low vision and a little hearing loss. She also has some memory loss. During my upcoming vacation (July 3-10), I am looking to schedule a few visits. My mom's physical therapist has invited a care provider to observe her PT session on Thursday, July 3rd at 10am, with the idea that this individual can then help her review PT concepts during subsequent visits. My mom does NOT like the concept of a babysitter, and so I am seeking a companion who can help her practice her PT; take her out in the shade as weather permits to enjoy fresh air and the nice fountain area where she lives; talk with her and at times encourage her to take part in activities at Aegis Pleasant Hill, where she resides. She enjoys playing Blackjack, arranging flowers and so forth. Timing is somewhat flexible: July 3 from 10-2; July 7 from 1pm-4 or 5pm; July 9 from 1pm-4 or 5 p.m. Thereafter, if it's a good fit, we can discuss a regular schedule of visits.
