We are looking for companion care to help take care of my father in Auburn. He has some difficulties with short term memory and executive function, so we are looking for some with a high level of patience and understanding. While he is mostly mobile on his own, he has had some falls in the past so he uses a walker and at times may need additional physical assistance. My Mom is currently his primary care giver and I'd like to get her some additional help. The ideal companion caregiver would be able to assist transportation to and from activities such as church, bible study, and exercise classes. We are hoping to have someone help out on a recurring basis who is available a few days a week for 2-4 hours. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker, physically able to help him up off the floor if he falls, and CPR / first-aid trained.
