About the job

About who needs care: Some vision difficulties and mild Alzheimers but still able to hold a conversation and participate in activities/live independently. Primarily we need a driver at this point but also someone who could potentially attend care appointments with him and act as a companion/eyes on in case more assistance is needed. About the care needs: We need someone with a good driving record who is patient and kind and has experience working with people with dementia. He is pretty quiet so someone who can stimulate conversation and who has a fairly loud voice as he is a little hard of hearing even with his hearing aides. This person needs to have good mobility as My Dad is a busy person and likes to be on the go. Ideally somebody who could keep him company and potentially go for walks with him as his Alzheimers progresses. He enjoys cards and games but he is only able to play a few. Somebody with experience working with people with Alzheimers would be best. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
