About the job

About who needs care: My dad had a liver transplant in December 2024. Unfortunately, he has bad several set backs after his transplant which has caused him problems with his activities of daily living. Another problem is memory and lack of motivation to want to get better and improve. He needs reminders about taking his medications (which are taken twice a day) to prevent organ rejection. I am responsible for making sure his medications are correct/laid out for him. He needs transportation to and from his many doctors appointments in Little Rock and someone who will be attentive/take notes during his appointments so I can stay up to date on his plan of care. He will need someone who can run errands for him (grocery store, etc) and cook meals for him or help him cook his meals. He needs someone who can motivate him to get out of bed and out of the house and exercise to regain his strength. He has physical therapy exercises he needs to do but lacks the motivation to do it and needs some encouragement. He needs someone to remind/push him to shower, eat, and stay hydrated. He will need someone who can help clean his home (light housekeeping) and help him with laundry and other chores around the house. About the care needs: Someone who is honest, trustworthy, compassionate, and reliable. Someone who is a Christian. Someone who treats my dad the way they would treat their own family member. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
