About the job

We have cats indoors and need a housekeeper who tolerates and respects their nature. No direct cat care is needed or expected but they do create some of the background necessity for housecleaning help. The man of the house has dementia and may converse or ask questions of the housekeeper but I am responsible for everything. References are expected from people who don't mind giving them. Vacuuming is a big deal and the bedrooms have throw rugs on hardwood and these rugs need periodic washing at the by-the-pound laundromat at the end of our street. Bathroom and kitchen floors need washing and I have several mop styles even though I do them on hands and knees when I can get to them. Bedrooms for humans need dust mopping and periodic washing with Murphy's oil soap. Windows tilt in for washing except for casements and kitchen canopy.
