Disabled Child Attendant Salary: $13. 61 per hour, not to exceed 35hrs per week *Hours may vary *Lift and move a child that is in excess of 60 pounds *Be able to secure a 5-point harness *Be able to change soiled diapers and clothing *Know how to secure a wheelchair in a vehicle *Be able to measure and administer feedings *Be able to bathe the child as required *Be able to react quickly while the child is playing on the floor *Child is prone to frequent spasms and sudden movements *Child may throw themselves onto the floor *Be able to communicate with medical professionals during medical appointments *Be well versed in the communication devices that the child uses *This child is physically handicapped, but aware of their surroundings. The attendant will be monitored, via video, while in the home *Attendant should not be on phone
