About the job

We're looking for a kind, dependable caregiver for our sweet 11-year-old daughter with severe autism. Though she's almost 12, her developmental age is closer to 2. Shes mostly non-verbal but uses some words and short phrases as well as an iPad with a communication app to communicate and enjoys simple, calm activities. M has some challenging behaviors (pica, self-injury, occasional meltdowns), so experience with special needs or a strong willingness to learn is important. ABA or PECS knowledge is a plus. We're especially needing help Sundays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Shifts will be no longer than 4 hours, as M prefers short separations from us. This is a great fit for someone who is patient, attentive, and passionate about making a difference.
