About the job
Seeking a dedicated 1:1 caregiver to attend the Boys and Girls Club 35 hours M-F through the summer weeks (10 weeks) with my 9 yo son who has nonverbal Autism and ADHD. Caretaking would involve remaining within reasonable distance at all times, as my son elopes and doesn't necessarily understand all social and danger cues. Guiding through transitions, schedule, and activities. He is able to eat and toilet on his own safely, but needs attendance with both just to guide him and ensure he completes all steps around hygiene and staying on task. As my son is nonverbal, he needs some extra care with interpreting and "translating" his needs, but he follows verbal and written instructions well. He is very high energy and task motivated, but he is a generally happy and easy going kiddo.
