Start: August 4, 2025 Children: 4.5-year-old, 2-year-old, & 2-month-old Pet(s): 1 dog Compensation: $30-$35 Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30 AM -11:30 AM Description: Are you a self-starter who enjoys supporting a busy family in the home, with a dash of childcare each day? If so, we have the perfect position for you! This busy Raleigh family of five hopes to welcome a loving, interactive, and supportive family assistant to the mix in early August. Their 4.5-year-old is independent, inquisitive, and loves practicing her letter sounds and numbers. Their 2-year-old loves reading, building things, and is incredibly friendly! She has a severe peanut allergy as well as a nickel allergy, so a candidate who is versed in these allergens would be a great fit! Their youngest was born recently and will be approximately 2 months old when you begin. Mom and Dad both work outside of the home, but Mom will be on maternity leave through September when the baby starts daycare. The family loves getting outside to go on hikes or working in the garden. They also enjoy traveling, exploring new areas, listening to music, and impromptu dance parties! The family has found that keeping firm boundaries, while talking through big emotions, works best for their kiddos, so a caregiver who is comfortable and experienced with this is a must. Your morning will start with the hustle and bustle of childcare! Mom and Dad will have breakfast started most mornings, but need to be out the door by 6:45/7 AM, so they will need your help to finish up the morning routine. After breakfast and getting ready for the day, you may have a bit of time before needing to head out the door for daycare drop-off. During this time, the family would love it if you could engage with the children in a game, songs, or reading. This would be a great opportunity to bring your silly and creative side out! The children can be dropped off at daycare between 8-8:30 AM, and the family would appreciate a nanny who is comfortable driving their vehicle for drop-off. Once you've made it back home, it's time to bring on the household management tasks! The family would appreciate assistance with washing baby supplies (bottles, pump parts, etc.), child-related laundry, changing the bed sheets, light cleaning, and picking up the playroom and kids' bedrooms. A candidate who is comfortable in the kitchen would also be an incredible bonus! If you are confident in meal prepping and grocery shopping, they would be grateful for that assistance. The typical work hours will be Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM- 11:30 AM, with the option to provide date night babysitting as needed. The family would also appreciate a candidate who would be open to providing sick care or full-day care of the children when school is out. However, this is not a deal-breaker. They hope to build a long-term relationship with a kind and proactive caregiver and cannot wait to meet you soon!
