A thoughtful and active family of three in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a nurturing, calm, and experienced full-time nanny to care for their sweet 5-month-old daughter in late July to mid-August. This is a long-term position ideal for a career nanny who is passionate about early childhood development and is looking to grow with a family for years to come. This warm and engaging household includes two full-time working parents (both remote professionals), their daughter, and a friendly and laid-back dog. Both parents work from home in separate office spaces and are respectful of the nanny's role, though they'll enjoy the occasional quick cuddle when they get a break. The family has close extended relatives (including nearby grandparents) who may occasionally stop by or visit during the day. The family is seeking a nanny who is flexible, dependable, and interested in becoming a true partner in raising their daughter. They value honesty, integrity, and a calm, loving presence. Duties and Responsibilities: Primary (Childcare related) Provide attentive and developmentally focused care on the child (diapering, feeding, burping, naps, tummy time, reading, stretches/light PT, etc.) Plan and lead outings as the child grows, including baby classes, parks, libraries, museums, and other child-friendly spots Create a warm, engaging environment that nurtures curiosity and supports healthy development Secondary (Household Support) Light child-related household tasks (washing bottles, loading dishwasher, tidying play areas) Baby laundry (and household laundry if time permits) Baby meal prep (bottles now, eventually homemade purees/solids-family is interested in clean, organic food and a holistic approach to nutrition) Occasional support with errands, groceries, or household tasks down the line Ideal Candidate Infant care experience, preemie or light physical therapy experience a plus Calm, organized, and emotionally perceptive, comfortable in a busy home with occasional visiting family Reliable communicator, comfortable updating parents with notes or check-ins Values long-term commitment and is flexible as needs evolve with future siblings or changing schedules Positive, proactive, and collaborative mindset-happy to "jump in" when needed Requirements 3-5+ years of infant experience CPR/First Aid Certified Up-to-date on Tdap and standard childhood vaccinations Valid driver's license and clean driving record Reliable and safe vehicle that can fit 1 car seat Speaking Portuguese is a bonus, but not a requirement Non-smoker, non-vaper Comfortable with a friendly family dog in the home Open to occasional travel with the family (optional but a plus) Schedule & Benefits 40 hours/week guaranteed + occasional overtime Typical hours: Monday-Friday, 9 AM-6 PM, with some occasional flexibility needed for earlier starts or later evenings Paid time off and Holidays Long-term stability and the opportunity to be part of a growing, supportive family This role is perfect for a dependable, loving nanny who is seeking a long-term position where they can make a lasting impact.
