About the job

My Great Aunt is 87 and has dementia. Her needs have evolved to require more assistance and increased social interaction. She is Okinawan but speaks English well. I think she would benefit from someone sweet who won't mind listening to her repetitive stories and reacting warmly and engaged as if its always the first time hearing them. She will benefit from prompting to eat lunch or dinner, having a companion, as well as someone to ask her questions and to keep her alert in the afternoons, as naps during the day are a trigger for her confusion. She loves looking at photos of animals or to have traditional Okinawan music played for her. I hope to secure a sitter for TWO HOURS a day between 11am- 5pm, M-F - please include the word CHIPMONK in your message to be considered, to ensure you have fully read the job post, thanks.
