The family has three active children (ages 4, 10 and 12) and they are in search of someone who can provide attentive care and thoughtful support for them and the family as a whole on a very long term basis. They need a dynamic individual who would be instrumental in helping to keep their household run smoothly. The Nanny-Family Assistant will work cooperatively with the well-respected full-time Housekeeper to ensure the family's needs are met. This is a full-time opportunity offering top wages and an outstanding benefit package including medical, dental and vision. Both parents work outside the home in demanding roles and the Nanny-Family Assistant's schedule will vary each week but is provided in advance. Start times will vary and on most days, the Nanny-Family Assistant will need to stay until at least 6/ 6:30pm, depending on the children's activities. Some evenings and weekends will be required. The ability to travel with the family on occasion would be preferred. Responsibilities include: Providing nurturing and responsible care for three children Driving children to and from school, activities, and appointments (must have reliable personal vehicle) Motivating, supervising and staying on top of homework and school projects, tracking dates, deadlines, etc. Preparing snacks and meals for children (and occasionally for the family) Cleaning up after meals and encouraging tidy habits Helping with bathing and bedtime routine for the youngest child Running errands: groceries, dry cleaning, pharmacy, pet needs, gift shopping, etc. Dog walking as needed Managing household and children's calendars Registering children for extracurriculars and programs Communicating with schools, sports teams, and other relevant contacts Purchasing and organizing clothes, supplies, and gear for the kids Packing for travel Light housekeeping and tidying of children's areas Providing general family assistance wherever needed Qualifications: Prior experience as a nanny or family assistant in a very busy household with at least two children with extracurricular activities Kind, patient, caring, dependable and extremely flexible Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle Excellent communication and organizational skills Able to multitask and self-directed to take initiative Great computer skills and tech savvy to use various apps Comfortable with pets and occasional pet care CPR/First Aid certification preferred Ability to work a varied, full-time schedule with some evenings and weekends Occasional overnight availability if parents are out of town Flexibility to travel with the family is a plus Send resume in a Word format attachment to Cindy at Harper Associates: cindy@harperjobs.com https://harperjobs.com/estate-private-service Care.com profile will not suffice, please send resume
