A close-knit family in Potomac is seeking a warm, professional, and adaptable nanny with extensive newborn experience to serve in a dual role as Household Manager. Their baby girl is due in late June, and they're looking for someone who can support both her care and the overall management of their home. They're looking for someone who not only meets their needs on paper but who truly feels like a natural and trusted extension of their family. In this exciting role, the nanny's primary focus will be providing exceptional care in a safe, nurturing environment. During Mom's maternity leave, the nanny will support both her and the baby by anticipating needs and offering calm, reliable assistance. Responsibilities include daytime care, assisting in sleep conditioning, getting the baby on a schedule when appropriate, preparing bottles, safely handling and storing breast milk(mom plans to exclusively breastfeed), keeping the baby clean and well-dressed, maintaining a fully stocked nursery, and the baby's laundry. The nanny will also plan age-appropriate outings and playdates, transport the baby to and from activities, and support the home through household management tasks such as keeping things organized, coordinating vendors, running errands, and preparing simple, healthy meals for the family. Qualifications 5 years of professional childcare experience Educational background preferred High school diploma Previous infant experience Fluent in Spanish or French At least 21 years of age Valid driver's license Clean driving record Authorized to work in the U.S. Pet friendly Valid passport & availability to travel domestically and internationally if needed Current on standard vaccinations Schedule Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday, generally from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility will be appreciated. Compensation The family is offering $45-$50/hour based upon 40 guaranteed hours per week, which equates to up to $1,800-$2,000/week, and an anticipated annual base income of $93k-$104k+/year. This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law. Benefits The family is offering a monthly healthcare stipend, 5 days of paid sick time, 10 days of paid time off, paid major holidays, and mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate for on-the-job travel. The family is also open to providing a monthly housing stipend and relocation assistance for non-local candidates if needed. Live-in candidates will be provided with a private bedroom and bathroom, along with access to the home's gym, sauna, and lap pool.
