Part-Time to Full-Time Nanny | Newborn Care | Oak Park An easy-going family in Oak Park is looking for a nurturing and communicative nanny to care for their newborn starting in September or October 2025. The role will begin as part-time (3 days/week) and transition to full-time (5 days/week) in November. Position Details: Start Date: September/October 2025 Schedule: PT: 3 days per week to start FT: 5 days per week beginning in November Location: Oak Park, IL Children: 1 newborn Compensation: $28-$32/hour DOE Benefits: Paid time off (PTO) The Ideal Nanny: Easy-going, kind, and down-to-earth Comfortable with open, respectful communication Flexible and reliable Experience with newborns and infants Comfortable supporting developmental milestones (tummy time, rolling over, sitting up, etc.) Confident introducing solid foods and following family guidance on feeding and schedules Comfortable with a home where parents work from home a few days per week (in a separate space) Pet-friendly - the home includes a friendly dog and cat (only pet care required is letting the dog out into the fenced yard) Requirements: Valid driver's license and clean driving record Own vehicle available for work-related use Infant CPR/First Aid certification required or willing to obtain Responsibilities: Provide attentive, loving care for the newborn Maintain tidy child-related areas (nursery, play spaces, kitchen) Wash bottles and clean up after daily baby-related activities Restock nursery and changing areas with diapers, wipes, and other essentials If time allows: prepare nursery for bedtime routine (lay out fresh diaper, pajamas, etc.) Handle baby laundry as needed (e. g., after spills or messes) The family is looking for someone who will grow with them, feel part of the team, and bring a warm, supportive presence into their home.
