About the job

We are in need of afterschool care for our 8-year-old son starting at the end of August. Hours are 4:30/5 to 7:30 Monday to Thursday. Main duties are picking him up from school (near Howard University) or from the bus (a few blocks from our house near Eastern Market on Capitol Hill), driving him to soccer a couple of days a week and otherwise supervising piano practice, homework, and shower time. Our older daughter (almost 13) will also be around on occassion but needs much less hands on help. Job duties also include laundry for the kids and snack prep. We need someone who is comfortable driving, although have a car you can use if you don't have your own vehicle. We also need a caregiver with work authorization.
