Location: Denver, CO, 80238 Start: July Children: Two children, ages 4 and 2. They also have a baby that will be born in May Compensation: $24-25/hr will increase $1-$2/hr when 3rd child is born Schedule: Before School Shift: M-F 6:30AM - 9:30AM (Guaranteed 15 Hours/Week) After School Shift: M-F 2:30AM - 5:30PM (Guaranteed 15 Hours/Week, but could be more if interested) Variable Hours for Backup Care for Sick Days and School Closures ABOUT THE FAMILY: Our family is located in the Central Park neighborhood of Denver. Our household consists of two children, aged 4 years and 2 years. Both children attend school daily, Monday to Friday, from 8:30AM to 3:00PM. We are expecting a third child on 5/27, the baby will attend full-time daycare beginning at 6 weeks and we are arranging daytime coverage for the interim. The family also has two large dogs so candidates must be comfortable around them. We are looking for long-term placements with a preference to stay with a family (hopefully ours!) for years to come. ABOUT THE LITTLES: The two older children attend school in Hilltop and have seasonal schedules. Through summer session, they attend full-day school Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM. They have a 3-week break from the last week of July through mid-August, during which they are enrolled in half-day camps and will need daytime care. Beginning August 18, they will shift to their school year schedule: 8:00 AM-3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The baby is due in late May and will attend full-time daycare (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-6:00 PM) starting at 6 weeks old. SCHEDULE: The family has two shifts. If they could find one person to do both, that would be great! If not, they are open to having someone do the morning shift and someone else do the afternoon shift. The afternoon shift has more hours available if needed. Variable Hours for Backup Care for Sick Days and School Closures Morning Shift is guaranteed 15 hours a week Afternoon Shift is guaranteed 15 hours a week, but could be more if interested. If one nanny does both could be 30+ hours a week. COMMITMENT LENGTH: Wanting long term. 1+ years. PETS: They have two large dogs. VEHICLE/TRANSPORTATION NEEDS: Will need to take children to school and pick up.The family will provide a shared vehicle for school/activity transportation. REQUIREMENTS: Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification Clean criminal background with no history of or current drug/alcohol dependencies Valid driver's license and completely clean driving record High priority on reliability and punctuality. Must have reliable transportation and arrive on time for all shifts. Parents have firm schedules, time off must be planned in advance Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficient Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently with children and collaboratively with parents Must be very comfortable with big dogs Non-Smoker BENEFITS: Paid Holiday Shifts: 6 Paid holidays at 100% for holidays on a working day Monday-Friday. The paid holidays will be New Years, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Paid Time Off (PTO): For one full time position, 10 shifts of PTO will be offered, planned with the family in advance. They would prefer if one week align with planned family time off. For part time positions, paid PTO will be prorated based on hours worked. All other stipulations apply. Sick Time Sick time will be provided on an as-needed basis. DO THE PARENTS WORK FROM HOME: Yes COVERAGE NEEDED: Morning Shift (Monday-Friday: 6:30AM - 9:30AM) 15 Hours Guaranteed Empty dishwasher Wash/Cut Up Fruit and Veggies, Restock Kids Snack Drawers Pack nutritious school AM snack, lunch, PM snack, water bottle and milk. Pack kids bags with items needed for the day Pick out appropriate clothing/layers. Apply sunscreen and get the children dressed for the day. Brush hair and wipe faces. Prepare and serve breakfast for the children. Clean up and put food items away and load dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Give B Asmanex Inhaler dose and give both kids gummy vitamins Tidy up areas occupied by kids during the morning routine including putting away toys, dirty clothing, food items, wiping off high chairs/tables etc. prior to leaving for school Ensure children and supplies are loaded into the car no later than 8AM to ensure on-time transportation to school and activities 8:25AM School Drop-Off 9AM Return Home and Drop-Off Car. Complete any tidying needed and/or fold and put away the kids' laundry before leaving. 9:30AM Shift Ends After-School Shift (Monday-Friday: 2:30-5:30PM) 15 Hours Guaranteed, but could be more if interest Depart by 2:30 PM to ensure on-time pick-up from school Clean out lunch boxes, wash containers and water bottles upon arriving at home. Engage in age and seasonally appropriate play activities with the children, such as play outside, walks, playground, crafts, music, planned educational/holiday activities or other special outings. Assist with children's snacks and dinner. Prepare, feed, and clean up food and drink items, dirty dishes, wipe off high chairs/table. Bathe children and tend to basic hygiene needs (nail trimming, apply lotion, etc.) Dress in PJs. Prior to Departure: Send parents end-of-day summary on meaningful updates and pictures Tidy kitchen prior to departing: Put away snack foods, clean bottles/sippy cups, load children's dishes into dishwasher Tidy shared spaces, children's play areas and toys prior to departing Job Description: We are seeking childcare providers who can independently execute the children's morning and/or afternoon school routine including daily transportation to and from school, daycare and select activities. The family will provide a shared vehicle for school/activity transportation. The right candidates for this job will be warm and energetic who are naturally gentle and patient with young children. They will be playful and imaginative but also capable of maintaining calm, safe, and firm boundaries. They will work with us to ensure our children a growing and developing their confidence and independence
