About the job

We are seeking an experienced, patient, and reasonably fit individual to assist with caring for our 9-year-old son with severe autism. # Duties - Help with daily activities such as getting dressed and going to the bathroom - Provide educational support, including arts, crafts, and reading and writing activities - Meal prep and supervision while feeding - Implement behavior management strategies as needed - Assist with family outings, such as shopping trips or visits to the local park # Requirements - Special needs experience is required - Patient and understanding demeanor - Reasonably fit and able to run (due to potential elopement situations) - Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds (for transfers or emergencies) # Schedule 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. M-F
