We're looking for someone to come to our home and care for our 3mo daughter while we're at work or sleeping in the mornings (my husband is a fireman and needs to sleep some after he gets off shift). We may very rarely ask you to also keep our 3yo son, but generally he is in preschool. Our family values loving kindness towards children, no screen time, interaction with kids and not texting/being on the phone while caring for children, healthy foods, Montessori-style education, and a peaceful environment. Crafts and time outside are important to us as the kids get older. The position is for our 3mo old daughter, but we also have a 3yo son who will be at preschool most of the time. Our daughter loves one to one interaction - she loves people to hold her and talk with her face to face. She loves contact napping and cuddles. The position is not for our son, but when he is around he loves reading books, puzzles, painting, and playing outside. Our daughter will need to be fed (sometimes encouraged to eat) breast milk, changed regularly, held for most naps, help practicing tummy time, and most of all continual/constant interactions and talking to her. We would love for her to develop the same love of books our son has, so reading to her regularly and helping with her development as she grows will also be an Important part of each day. Most of all we want her to feel cared for and loved. We're looking for someone who has experience with infants and toddlers if possible, who is kind, loving, patient, a non-smoker, reliable, and energetic. We would love someone who is willing to grow with the family, as we're hoping for more children at some point. You would need reliable transportation to drive to our home each morning. Plenty of parking in the driveway; no public transportation available. We have two vizsla dogs. One is 3yo and one is 8yo. They're both very friendly and energetic. They can be put outside or in their crate if they're getting rowdy. They listen to instructions like "out" and "bed" pretty well. It would be great if you could let them out to use the yard to go potty once in the mid-morning if possible, otherwise they can be in their crates for the morning. If you aren't a dog person, it's not a deal breaker, we can figure something else out for them.
