From 1986-88, while pursuing a MS in Mechanical Engineering at Florida Institute of technology, I worked as a graduate teaching assistant which I found to be very satisfying. Now, after 30 years of professional experience in engineering, finance and management, and, a MBA from UCLA, I would like to return to tutoring/teaching on a part-time basis eventually leading to full-time tutoring/teaching in my pre-retirement years.

Math And History Tutor- 3rd Grade Through 10th Grade

I just graduated from St. Thomas High School and deferred college at St. Edwards University in Austin for a year to save money. Next August, I will pursue a Finance major and a history minor. In the meantime, I am available to tutor your children in math and history. Math has always come naturally. I make calculations quickly and effortlessly. Plus I've enjoyed helping my sister learn the more advanced concepts. History is a passion, particularly World War II. I love kids and relate to them easily. I was a handful growing up and use this experience to relate to all types and levels of children. I am also patient and kind and genuinely want kids to master their subjects. I remember feeling frustrated when I struggled with pre-cal. I transferred to St. Thomas from Lamar High School and the teaching was fast. The in-class work was comprehensible but I chocked on the tests. I benefited from a tutor and believe others can to if they find a good tutor to help explain differently.
