Studio On The Common

This delicious week is back by popular demand! Your artist will create delightful 2D and 3D art projects inspired by some of our favorite sweets: popcorn, gum balls, cupcakes, cookies, and ice cream (just to name a few). It's sure to be a SWEET week! A few of the AWESOME projects we will make this week include: Sprinkle covered donut painting you’ll want to take a bite of Gumball machine collage Ice cream cone made from a paper lantern And so much MORE! Art show will be outdoors on the Common on Friday at 11:45am, weather permitting.

Does your child love books and storytelling? This week, we'll be using children's stories to inspire our artwork. With a different book each day, kids will create art that explores the connection between books, storytelling, and art. As they unleash their imagination and create their own unique interpretations and artwork, projects might include a mix of drawing, painting, sculpture, and more! Some of the AWESOME projects for this week include: Pete the Cat inspired mixed media painting Collage like Eric Carle Larger than life Crayon from the Day the Crayons Quilt And so MUCH MORE! This fan favorite class is perfect for the animal lover in your life! Your artist will have fun making art about all kinds of animals and where they live! We'll get inspired as we use a variety of media; sculpture, paint, pastels, pencils, and so much more to explore animals and their habitats! A few of the AWESOME projects we will make this week are: Symmetrical butterfly painting Colorful chameleon Playful Party Panda! And so MUCH MORE! This week will be full of creating and building with materials like cardboard, yarn, sticks, and recycled materials. Your artist will be weaving on looms, sewing stuffies, creating cardboard sculptures, and MORE! It's sure to be a FUN week! Does your child love all things under the sea? We’ve got you covered in our Underwater Animal Adventures week! From drawing, to painting, to dioramas - we will do a little bit of everything this week as we explore undersea creatures. A few of the AWESOME projects for this week include: Undersea diorama with real rocks and sand! Sea creature luminary, sure to light up your life Cuddly woven sea turtle Adorable mixed media jellyfish And so MUCH MORE! Art show will be outdoors on the Common on Thursday at 11:45am, weather permitting.

At the Studio we're lucky to have ceramic artists eager to share their craft with your kids. This week-long camp will focus on a mixture of hand building and wheel throwing. We will create a variety of bowls, plates, cups, vases, and more while experimenting with surface design and glazes.

Note: Creations in Sculpture is offered twice during the summer. The techniques may overlap, but the projects are different in each session - so feel free to register for one week or both for double the fun!
