Studio On The Common

This class is open to beginning students who have never used a wheel as well as students with prior wheel throwing experience, looking to advance their skills. First time students will learn the basics of throwing on the wheel including centering and pulling walls to create bowls, cups and plates as well as how to trim and glaze pieces before the final firing. Experienced students will take their work to the next level: adding attachments like handles and spouts and carving and sculpting texture. All students will have their own wheel for the entirety of the class period. Course fee includes access to tools, clay, and glazes.

Looking for something FUN and creative for the kids to do on Winchester Stroll Weekend 2025? This is perfect for kiddos who love all things KPop Demon Hunters! They'll tap into their artistic side as our instructor leads them through a painting on canvas, featuring Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird. Sign them up alone or in a group to have fun getting creative with friends. K-Pop treats and drinks included!

Grab your kiddos (aged 5 and up) and join us for a morning of family fun in the Pottery Studio. Each adult and child team will work side by side to create and glaze a handful of unique holiday ornaments - just in time for the winter season this year and to enjoy for years to come! NOTE: This is a 2 class series. You'll sculpt your ornaments in the first session and glaze them in the second session after a bisque firing in between. Registration includes one adult and one child. Our art projects will reinforce emerging skills as we work on letters, numbers, colors, fine motor skills, and creative expression. This thoughtful combination is designed to expand and stimulate our youngest student’s minds in a fun, art-rich environment. NOTE: We will follow the Winchester Public School Calendar. There will be no Messy Mushy Preschool Art on days when Winchester Public Schools are closed or on half-days. While your child is welcome to register for Messy Mushy on multiple days of the week, please note our curriculum is designed to repeat the same set of projects in each class. We offer after school pick up from Neighborhood Coop Nursery School at 12pm for students attending the half day NCNS program.
