I have raised six children and now have free time to help others with their children/families. I am a postpartum doula for the last 14 years and love helping moms with their newborns. Considering myself a surrogate grandma, I prefer staying with families for an extended period of time, thus , extending the majority of my experience from newborn to 7 years old. Shirley was a lifesaver for our family. She began caring for our younger son, S., when he was three months old, up until he began daycare when he sixteen months. Throughout that time, Shirley became part of our family. She was incredibly loving and thoughtful, and took wonderful care of our baby. She was constantly thinking about what he would enjoy - from different activities to new foods. Shirley was also terrific with our four-year-old when he had to stay home from school or when we needed to go out - playing different games and ready him book after book! Shirley was always ready to pitch in and do whatever she could to support our family and help keep our boys happy and healthy, and we are so grateful we found her.
